This RV would be a good place to be during a flood, but probably not such a good place during an earthquake. It would also not be a good place for anyone prone to sleepwalking. We just hope it's self contained because it would be along walk to the potty in the wee hours of the night.
Our Facebook friend Paul Martinez alerted us to this photo. He doesn't know where or when it was taken, which means we don't know either. All we know is that's kinda weird.

Weird RVs -- Houseboat? Yacht? RV? Take your pick!
We are not sure what you would call this thing. We do know that it did not come off as is off any assembly line. Paul Martinez sent us this photo via Facebook.

Home away from home for the Good Humor man
They say a picture says a thousand words and that's just as well because we can't think of a single thing to say about this. Wait -- I love the portholes in the door.

A thing of beauty
RVtravel.com reader Pauline Mills sent us this photo she snapped in Willows, Calif. She asked if we knew the brand. We said we believe it's the HomeMade brand. Notice the satellite dish near the front of the trailer. Somebody must live in this. Heck, maybe it's gorgeous inside. Then again, maybe not.

Gas-powered La-Z-Boy gets great mileage!
This may not be the first thing that leaps to mind when you think of an RV but the Merriam-Webster dictionary defines "recreational vehicle" as "a vehicle designed for recreational use." We also know from experience that people own RVs for the purposes of relaxation and comfort with mobility.
Check, check and check.
Check, check and check.

RV needs a new roof--hire a carpenter

When the old RV roof finally "lets go," most RVers hire a shop for a new rubber roof. Maybe this was a do-it-yourself job--by a carpenter. Nothing like a three-tab composition roof to blow off at freeway speeds.

Pop out camper expands like an accordian
We know nothing about this trailer except what we can observe from the photo. It appears that the trailer pops out like an accordion. If you know anything let us know. It appears that when it's not popped out, this RV is compact enough to be pulled by most any car, no matter how small.

Getaway From Walton's Mountain
The history of the United States assures us that wanderlust has been in our national dna since the Pilgrims landed at what they would call the Plymouth Colony almost 400 years ago. Our wandering ancestors weren't content to cross a vast ocean in tiny boats and then just build porches and rocking chairs. Pioneers of heart they they pushed south and west and now, some 16 to 20 generations later, we Americans are still scurrying around like ants looking for the next picnic.
Here's a great old video that shows how your grandparents, or even great-grandparents, became the first RV nuts in the world.
